Class Descriptions

We believe sweat is a good thing and an important component of balanced living. We also believe in exercising and balancing the mind with the body.

Habit, offers community-style yoga classes that pair stretching muscles with stretching the mind, and like sweat, this is a good thing. Our yoga studio located in Great Falls, Mt is equipped to offer a mix of practice styles at varying room temperatures. Our yoga classes are designed for everybody. Instructors guide poses providing both modifications and layers to advance or intensify each. We invite you to come and practice with us here at our studio in Great Falls, Montana. Yoga Class Descriptions

Breanna’s Restorative Yoga

(Warm 80-85 degrees)

Breanna’s Restorative yoga classes are for all levels and those recovering from injury. Pose sequences are slow-paced and targeted to seated and laying postures. A Yin practice compliments an active lifestyle by providing the care for our body in active recovery.

Vinyasa Flow

(Hot 95-10 degrees)

Vinyasa Flow focuses on connecting breath to movement. In this flow class, you can expect to stay constantly moving. With a room temperature between 80-85 degrees this is an accessible class for all levels, even if it is your first time!

Intro to Yoga

(Warm 80-85 degrees)

This class is designed for anyone new to their yoga practice. It is taught a little warmer than room temperature at about 85 degrees. This class introduces common poses at a slow pace while keeping the focus on correct form and proper alignment. The intention is to build a strong foundation, including both the asanas (poses or physical practice) and meditation.

Blissful Morning Flow

(Warm 80-85 degrees)

Blissful Morning Flow your way into the day with this 1 hour perfect blend! Split down the middle, this class will challenge and stretch the muscles and mind. The first 30 minutes will be a heated power flow to build up heat to prepare for deep stretching for the second half of class.

Flexibility Flow

(Warm 80-85 degrees)

This 60 minute Flow practice targets mobility and flexibility leaving your hips feeling open, your hamstrings released, and body renewed. While intermediate and fast paced, ample opportunities are provided to explore modifications and advancements to make the Flow your own, truly allowing this practice to be for any body. You can expect the studio to be heated, but not hot in temperate; anticipate about 80 degrees.

Power Flow

(Hot 95-100 degrees)

Powerflow, or Baptiste Power Vinyasa, is a hot yoga class taught at around 95 degrees. Each class contains 53 poses broken into 11 series.

Meditate and Flow

(Hot 95-100 degrees)

Join us for a vinyasa flow with deep stretches, balancing poses and meditative guidance. Our guided meditation begins with various concentration techniques and concludes with seated stillness. Expect temps up to 105.

Yin and Flow

(Warm 80-85 degrees)

We welcome you to join us for a warm Yin class, where we focus on breath and hold poses for up to 3 minutes. Great for any level yogi, come join us for a relaxing and rejuvenating flow class.

Sunrise Vinyasa

(Hot 95-100 degrees)

Stretch and flow your way into your new day. This all encompassing hot vinyasa class is perfect for yogis of all levels. Expect to find elements of strength, balance, breath and mind body connection in this class.

Sculpt

(Hot 95-100 degrees)

Just like it sounds! Be prepared to move at a fast pace to build the heat and intensity of this fun, sweaty class. Pop, Hip-Hop, and EDM music will carry you through the 60 minutes, while focusing on the mind-body connection of each movement through the breath. Expect temps up to 105 and lots of fun.

Sculpt and Stretch

(Hot 95-100 degrees)

The perfect blend! If your focus is on increasing flexibility, this is the class for you! The first 30 minutes will be a heated power flow to build up heat to prepare for deep stretching for the second half of class. You will leave the class feeling rejuvenated, relaxed and at peace in your body.

Soothing Stretch

(Non-heated)

This Yin class provides a perfect balance between stretching and moving. With soothing inspired asana's and calming, Yin style stretches. We're able to better cultivate and explore flexibility, strength and range of motion.

Hatha Yoga

(Hot 95-10 degrees)

A 'hatha' practice, meaning force, is a slow-paced and structured class guiding you through a series of poses. Attention is given to proper alignment with emphasis on finding stamina in each pose. This class is a hot class staying above 100 degrees the whole time.

Sopāna

(Hot 95-100 degrees)

Sopāna means Stairway/Ladder, this class begins with breath-awareness and a Sun Salutation, followed by a simple flow. Each round we add on and /or elevate for more complexity & movement, building a sopāna/ladder flow, completing a strong, sweaty & fun practice. Ending with a candle lit Savasana.

Ashtanga Yoga

(Warm 80-85 degrees)

Ashtanga yoga's creation is credited to Sri K Pathabi Jois. Ashtanga Vinyasa comprises six series of postures. In this class you will be working on the first, Primary Series postures. This series lays a great foundation for a lifetime of practice. Postures are held for five breaths while transitions are attached to inhales and exhales creating a meditative rhythm to the practice. Ashtanga Vinyasa is a great practice to learn if you are looking to grow your home practice as well as studio practice.
